About Me

I have always enjoyed photography, but when I became a mom my passion for photography grew. I began shooting sports photography and did that for years. From there I continued to get additional training and develop my skills and moved into other areas of photography. I am always striving to learn and push myself to be the best I can be. Photography became important to me as a mom because I wanted to preserve the magical moments of my children growing up. To me there is nothing more precious than old photographs!  They take us back and help us relive old moments in time like nothing else.  It is my hope is that I can help you capture these moments to cherish. I find that some of the best moments are candid moments that "just happen".  My goal is to document those moments that are fun, real and authentic.

A little about me... I am a HUGE dog  lover and enjoy music, reading and inspirational quotes. I describe myself as a positive person. I always look for at the glass "half full" and when things don't turn out right I try to find the "bless in the mess!" I also love relaxing with a good cup of tea and a scented candle!  For my full time job I am a school counselor and prior to that was a special education Deaf/Hard of Hearing teacher. So I pride myself on being able to work easily with kids of all ages.  Speaking of kids, I have been married to my fabulous husband Roger for 29 years and am a mom of 4! These kiddos keep me running most days with their wide variety of activities.  My two oldest are 2020 and 2021 graduates so I know how busy a senior year can be! In addition to my kids, I love to spend time with my dogs. I am an animal lover and always welcome clients to include dogs in their photo shoots. We currently have 4 dogs. My family volunteers with Caninie Companions for Independence as puppy raisers. I also volunteer my photography services to them!  We currently are raising our second Canine Companions puppy, who we hope will end up matching as a service dog and helping to change someones life. Our first dog Felicity graduated in February 2023 as a service dog for a young college student.  I also have a Facility Dog from Canine Companions that comes to work with me daily to help me in my job as a counselor.  I am enjoy animal assisted therapy work and  did that for 23 years. Also for 15 years I volunteered at Akron Children's Hospital Doggie Brigade Program. In any free time I have I enjoy  working as a volunteer at a local hospice center and a local homeless hospice facility.  I also use my dogs to volunteer as a crisis counselor with the National Organization for Victim Assistance and the Ohio Crisis Response Team. I am passionate about heping others and giving back to make our world a better place!

As a photographer, I would describe my style as relaxed, candid, natural and fun.  I try to keep sessions low stress and enjoyable for all. I want the experience to be a memorable one for every member of the family.  It is my personal goal to capture life’s most beautiful, personal, and unexpected moments for you to cherish. I hope you will consider allowing me the honor of working with you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
